Carillion PLC - Beetham Tower

With careful logistics and planning Premier Waste Services worked with Carillion PLC to extract the waste and produce accurate reports, even within the limited space allocated for this enormous showpiece hotel on Deamsgate, Manchester.

Carillion has constructed landmark building Beetham Tower in Manchester, which at 48 storeys, is the tallest residential building in the country and the tallest structure outside of London.

BAM Construction - Mann Island

   

Mann Island

The Mann Island development is part of a wider regeneration of the area that includes an extension to the Leeds-Liverpool canal, the Kings Waterfront Arena and Conference and the proposed new Museum of Liverpool.

BAM Construction lead the £47 million Mann Island office development scheme, and have taken the guidance and advise, along with the service and levels of waste management knowledge of Premier Waste Services (UK) Limited to Liverpool, to assist in the logistics and control of the proposed waste management programme.

Beyond this project, the business relationship within the Manchester Region thrives with Premier Waste Services working with BAM Construction and their Environmental Team on the newly completed £52 million development of Bolton College, and the soon to be proposed 3 year phase of the New Co Operative Building. 

   

Morgan Sindall - Cardinal Heenan School

Premier Waste Services (UK) Limited has furthered the waste management systems in place out to work with companies such as Morgan Ashurst on more "schools for the future" education regeneration schemes. This build is planned for three phases, over 3 years, costing £37 million, and the sustainability plans submitted for this project has been reported by BREEM as "very good"

Alongside Morgan Ashurst, McCory Brickwork are contracted to this project as professional masonary contractors, as a current customer of Premier Waste Services, a full lock down of waste removed from site can be acknowledged, meaning more detail in the monthly reports will be available.

   

Kier - Hilton Hotel, Liverpool

Kier Build's hotel and residential development at Liverpool's Albert Dock comprised of a basement and 11 upper floors.Premier Waste Services (UK) Limited expanded their knowledge of waste management further throughout other sectors of Kier Group, advising and manipulating the possible adoptions to the removal of waste from the Hilton Site.

This included trials of industrial euro bins in mass, with regular daily collections at various points on site. This enabled us to segregate waste where possible and report the waste stream materials as accurately as possible.

   

Carillion PLC - New Charter Academy

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, BSF Investments Limited and Carillion PLC, will initially deliver twelve secondary and special schools, at a capital cost of £173 million in the current wave of the BSF programme.

Carillion will provide facilities management services over the 25 year concession period, with an approximate value of £21million for all 4 schools. All 12 schools in the current wave of the BSF programme will be completed by the end of 2012.

With the success of service delivery, waste reporting and waste management reports and assistance, Carillion PLC have employed Premier Waste Services as the waste managers on the first four schools that are currently in their first phases.

Morgan Sindall - Lancashire Cricket Club

The existing 'County & Tyldesley' suites and spectator seating will be demolished and replaced, resulting in a revised pitch geometry.

Morgan Ashurst, proposed to construct a four-storey specialist structure above suspended terrace seating to create the unique new hospitality and events venue.

The facility will be utilised throughout the construction phase, meaning the service and commitment from Premier Waste Services and staff require precision throughout the build. This £10 million project is due to complete Summer 2010.

   

Kier - Carmel College

Carmel College awarded Kier North West  this £18.6m design and build contract for the construction of a new college and surrounding buildings. The two and a half year project, maximised various approaches towards waste management and waste reporting including WRAP and Smartwaste, and has been reported at working at "very good" levels of waste management in accordance to BREEM reports.

   

Kier - Radclyffe School 

   

Radclyffe

Kier North West employed Premier Waste Services (UK) Limited on this £27.5m design and build project  to provide waste removal, waste management strategies, monthly reporting and advice and guidance on the most cost effective forms to remove the waste produced, without effecting levels of service.

The project provides the school with several external activity areas with all weather football pitches and tennis courts, plus traditional rugby, football and cricket pitches. There are external amphitheatre areas for external lessons and the site is to be extensively landscaped.
The project was awarded a level of "Very Good" with BREEM ratings, and is just one school in a £100m PFI Contract with the Council.

After the two and a half contract period, the school's official opening was conducted by Sir Alex Ferguson, manager of Manchester United FC.
